Biba Schutz
New York based art jeweler Biba Schutz, has been celebrated for the past 25 years of working as an artist and metal smith, through numerous publications, exhibitions and countless awards. Primarily self-taught, but with a background in printmaking and graphics, Biba continues to be intrigued by lines, form, space and texture. Her asymmetrical compositions and sculptural forms, often crafted from assorted metals such as bronze, copper and silver, represent her idea of jewelry as a structured, yet decorative piece of art. She currently belongs to the permanent exhibition of the Smithsonian American Museum in Washington DC and Racine Art Museum in Racine, Wisconsin.
