Seung-Hea Lee
Seung-Hea Lee was born in Korea. She earned her bachelor of fine arts degree from the California College of Arts and Crafts and her Master of Fine Arts Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. She was awarded the RISD Award of Excellence upon graduation, and stayed on to become a professor at her alma mater. Lee's work has been exhibited at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City. Photos of jewelry have appeared in American Craft, Metalsmith and Jewelers Quarterly. “My jewelry is inspired by my interest in natural forms and colors, specifically during seasonal change. In spring, everything is blooming and the feeling of color is light; in winter the colors change to dark. I try to communicate along with nature.” Seung-Hea Lee currently lives in Seoul South Korea.
